Today February 28th, Coffee with the Coroner

The Crawford County Coroner’s Office will host Coffee with the Coroner on February 28th from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Cuba Bakery, 702 S. Franklin, in Cuba, Mo.

Coffee with the Coroner is intended to encourage open dialogue between the medicolegal profession and the public. It’s a chance to talk with the coroner and investigative staff, ask questions, voice concerns, or simply stop by and say hello, all in a friendly, pressure-free environment.

There’s no formal presentation, just coffee, conversation, and community. We look forward to visiting with you!

Another example of how one-sided media operates.

A national reporter has been pressuring me for information about an autopsy our county performed for another county. The facts are simple: I do not have most of what he is asking for, and even if I did, I am legally prohibited from releasing it.

Instead of accepting that answer, he has resorted to threats, accusations, and attempts to intimidate me into giving him something I cannot provide.

He has even suggested he will dig through my social media to try to create a narrative or label me politically. That tells you everything about the agenda here.

Let me be clear: I have nothing to hide. I will not be bullied into violating the law or compromising the integrity of this office.

I told him that I like the publicity, so if he chooses to write a story, my only request is that he spell my name correctly and report the truth without twisting it into a lie. Unfortunately, honesty does not always seem to be the goal in much of today’s media.

Stay tuned. I’m apparently this week’s target, again!
