Today in Orlando, Maureen 'Mo' Baird, Supervisor of Elections for Citrus County, was sworn in by Cord Byrd, Florida's Secretary of State, as President-Elect of the Florida Supervisors of Elections (FSE) Executive Board.

As President-Elect, Baird is set to assume the presidency of the association for the 2027–2028 term. Throughout her distinguished service with FSE, she has held numerous leadership positions, including Treasurer, Secretary, Vice President, and now President-Elect. The association's executive leadership is composed of supervisors of elections from counties across Florida.

Baird brings decades of election administration experience and a deep understanding of Florida's continually evolving election laws. As she often notes, her responsibility is to implement the election law changes enacted by the Legislature and ensure they are carried out accurately and effectively at the local level.

In an ever-changing elections environment, Baird embraces the challenge. Her dedication to election administration, commitment to serving voters, and ability to adapt to legislative changes have earned her the respect of colleagues throughout the state. As she prepares for her future role as FSE President, she looks forward to continuing to support Florida's supervisors of elections and helping maintain the state's strong tradition of professional election administration.

What an amazing morning @ Lecanto High School. Supervisor Baird and Voter Education Coordinator Alexus Medina walked through the election process, voter registration, security, precinct and early vote staff and much more with the students. The school is Election Ready! Thank you to the Lecanto High School staff for your continued support and helping us teach students about elections.
