🌟 Community Spotlight Time! 🌟

We are super excited to shout out the amazing team at Live4Lali! They’re on a mission to stomp out stigma, prevent substance use disorder, and keep our local communities safe, healthy, and supported.

Thanks to funding from the McHenry County Mental Health Board (MCMHB), their Harm Reduction and Recovery Program is doing big things:
📚 Educating Local Schools: Equipping McHenry County staff and students with vital drug education and harm reduction tools.
💡 Empowering Families: Creating top-notch educational materials for the public and families navigating substance use disorder.
🛡️ Saving Lives: Providing crucial naloxone (Narcan) training and general opioid education—standing out as the only harm reduction agency in the area offering these services alongside real-time drug checking!

Huge thanks to Live4Lali for making a real difference every single day. 💪✨

September is Su***de Prevention and Recovery Month. It serves as a reminder that hope is real, recovery is possible, and connection saves lives.

Whether you are navigating difficult times, supporting a loved one through a mental health or substance use challenge, or simply trying to stay connected, you do not have to carry it alone.

Key Pillars of This Month (Source: SAMHSA & 988lifeline.org):
◆ Hope: Healing isn’t linear, but recovery is attainable with the right support system and tools.
◆ Recovery: Seeking help for mental health or substance use is a sign of strength, not weakness.
◆ Connection: Reaching out—a quick text, a phone call, or an honest conversation—can change someone’s trajectory.
◆ Prevention: Equipping ourselves with immediate, accessible resources helps us step in before a crisis escalates.

MCHelp App (McHenry County)
◆ What it is: A free, confidential, and anonymous mobile app provided by the McHenry County Mental Health Board.
◆ How it helps: Allows you to text or talk directly with a licensed mental health counselor 24/7/365.
◆ Where to get it: Download it for free on iOS or Android.

National Resources
◆ 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline: Call or text 988 (Available 24/7, free, and confidential). 988lifeline.org
