Our office joins Iron County Central Dispatch in mourning the loss of Seppy, who served Iron County with unwavering commitment. We had the privilege of working with him and saw firsthand the knowledge, calm presence and support he provided, not just to callers in need but to first responders and partner agencies alike. Please keep his family and dispatch family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

It is with heavy hearts we share the loss of an important member of the Iron County Central Dispatch family, Jeff Seppala. “Seppy” as most people knew him, was most appreciated for his calm demeanor, love of Iron County and uncanny knowledge of some of the most remote corners of our wilderness. After more than 15 years of dispatch service, Dispatcher Seppala was called home on March 12, 2026. The “Stories of Seppy” he leaves behind will bring us comfort, joy and much laughter for years to come.

You have left your mark in our hearts and our community. Rest easy, friend. 💛
