High school is a great time to explore future possibilities, and what better way to explore those possibilities than be out in the field? This internship program is a great opportunity to connect with industry professionals, learn alongside peers, and receive guidance from our very own conservationists.⁠

The Laguna Beach High School Worksite Program is off and running! 🌿

Yesterday, we welcomed this year’s students to Crystal Cove for orientation and the start of another season of hands-on learning.

In partnership with the Laguna Beach High School Special Education Department, the Worksite Program gives students meaningful workplace experience in a supportive hospitality environment. Led by LBHS teacher Melinda Hawkins, students work alongside our team while building workplace, communication, and independent living skills and contributing to daily operations at Crystal Cove.

We’re so grateful for our partnership with Laguna Beach High School and for Melinda’s leadership in helping create experiences where students can learn, grow, build confidence, and be part of the team.

We’re excited for the year ahead — and even more excited to see all these students accomplish! 💙

Surprise! We're revealing two more events for our Creative Currents festival — for free! 🎨🌊 Bring your family down to the Cove and learn how a little creativity can foster big conservation efforts.

• Drop in for Watercolor by the Sea with Jessica Beck, Emeritus Instructor of Fine Arts at Saddleback College, from 10am–3pm along the Promenade.

• Right alongside it, Family Art Day: The Art of Preservation runs 10am–1pm with hands-on art and science activities for all ages.
