On September 8, 2026, following an ongoing investigation into an altercation that occurred on Saturday night involving several juveniles and a firearm, a second juvenile was detained and transported to a Juvenile Detention Facility.

🚨 Warrant Arrest 🚨

On September 8, 2026, CCPD Detective C. Ramirez made contact with a female identified as Roxanne Alvarez Padilla at W. Zavala and N. Ave B. Officers had personal knowledge that Padilla had an active arrest warrant for criminal trespass. Padilla was arrested and transported to the Crystal City Police Department for booking without incident.

On Tuesday, September 8, 2026, Crystal City Police Officer J. Elizondo made contact with Samuel Longoria at a residence located on 6 1/2 Street, based on prior knowledge of an active warrant issued by the Dimmit County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO).

A dispatch records check was conducted, confirming an outstanding warrant for Mr. Longoria out of the DCSO for credit card or debit card abuse. Mr. Longoria was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Dimmit County Jail for processing.

On Sunday afternoon, Crystal City police officers received information regarding an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon involving several juveniles. The Criminal Investigation Division was requested to investigate the incident.

Detectives were able to identify several juveniles involved in the incident. Following several interviews, a male juvenile was identified, detained, and eventually transported to a juvenile detention facility. After further investigation, a weapon believed to be used in the assault was recovered and submitted into evidence as part of the ongoing investigation.

The CCISD, along with the CCISD police, were notified and will be assisting with this ongoing investigation.

We want to remind parents and guardians to monitor their children’s activities, whereabouts, and associations. Incidents involving weapons can have serious consequences and may result in significant criminal charges.

This investigation remains ongoing, and additional arrests will be made if necessary.

🚨ARREST🚨

On Friday, September 4, 2026, at approximately 5:40 p.m., the Crystal City Police Department responded to the placita pavilion following reports of a domestic disturbance.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with Gabriel Martinez and Maricela Vera. During the investigation, Vera was detained for possession of drug paraphernalia, placed under arrest, and transported to the Crystal City Police Department.

Due to a medical episode, Vera was released to EMS for transport to Dimmit Regional Hospital. En route to the hospital, she jumped out of the ambulance and fled on foot. The CCPD along with TX DPS converged on the location and re-apprehended her a short time later.

The Crystal City Police Department extends its thanks to the Texas Department of Public Safety for their assistance.

🚨Municipal Warrant Arrest 🚨

On September 3, 2026, Sgt. M. Sanchez assisted TX DPS with the arrest of Felix Blanco for an outstanding Municipal Warrant. Subject Blanco was arrested and transported to the Crystal City Police Department.

On September 2, 2026, Officer R. Miramontes was dispatched to a residence on East Crockett Street in reference to a reported family argument.

Upon arrival, the residence was found to be vacant. Officer Miramontes made contact with individuals at a nearby residence associated with the property and identified Ricardo Velasquez as being present at the location.

A records check confirmed Velasquez had an active criminal trespass warrant. Velasquez was taken into custody and transported to the Crystal City Police Department without further incident.

🚨OFFICERS RESPOND TO REPORT OF POSSIBLE SHOTS FIRED🚨

The Police Department received a report of possible shots fired in the brush area behind W. Zapata St.

Given the information provided, a drone was deployed and scanned the area. The SRT team then established a search perimeter and conducted a thorough search of the area with the assistance of K9 Jovi.

Officers searched the area identified by the complainant but were unable to locate anyone at the scene. It is believed the subject or subjects may have left the area prior to the officers’ arrival.

Officers remained vigilant and thoroughly checked the reported area to ensure the safety of the surrounding community.
