Established in 2017, Free State Bees is a woman owned bee supply store located in Crownsville, MD. We offer all bee supplies needed to run your honey producing apiary, including bee boxes, frames and foundations, hive tools and accessories, protective clothing and pest management. Call or stop by anytime for supplies or instructive advice from our knowledgeable owners. We have been Beekeepers for

the past 10 years, keeping up to 40 hives in 3 different Maryland locations offering local honey. We offer free mentoring services and assorted beekeeping seminars with master beekeeping instructors.

Spring is here! Even with our chilling mornings this week the bees are out! 🐝🐝 If you are looking to place a package bee order they need to be made by tomorrow at the latest. Pickup will be 3/23. I will be emailing out info in the next day or so for those that have ordered packages.

A BEE SYMPOSIUM!!!!

Come join us for a morning of Beekeeping Instruction. You will hear from our guest speaker, Storm, a Master Beekeeper. You will have a chance to meet with other Beekeepers from the area for an informational exchange!!

Learn how to overwinter your colonies emphasizing early planning for a successful winter.

When: Saturday, August 13th, 10:30 AM.

Cost: A $10 fee will include refreshments. Reservations requested. Bring your own chairs, please.
