ROY ROAD HAS REOPENED TO TRAFFIC.

The previously announced closure of Roy Road in the Estherwood area, between Airport Road and U.S. Highway 90, has ended following the successful completion of the project.

🚗 Motorists may now resume normal travel through the area.

🚧 ROAD CLOSURE – RUE NOVEMBRE 🚧

Wednesday, September 9, 2026 | 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Rue Novembre will be closed from Bobby Gene Dr. to the curve to allow crews to complete culvert repair work.

🚧 Local traffic only will be permitted through the area during the closure.🚧

⚠️ Motorists are encouraged to use caution, watch for workers and equipment, plan for possible delays, and allow extra time for travel. Please use an alternate route if possible. ⚠️

🚧 ROAD/LANE STATUS – US 90 AT MERMENTAU RIVER BRIDGE, ACADIA PARISH 🚧

Tuesday, September 8, 2026 | 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) will conduct a routine bridge inspection, weather permitting.

Motorists should expect alternating lane closures. The roadway will remain open to regular traffic, with 16-foot lane restrictions for oversized loads traveling through the work zone.

🚑 Emergency vehicles will have access to the area but may encounter delays.

⚠️ Motorists are encouraged to slow down, use caution in the work zone, and allow extra time for travel. ⚠️
