The previously announced closure of Roy Road in the Estherwood area, between Airport Road and U.S. Highway 90, has ended following the successful completion of the project.

🚧 ROAD CLOSURE – RUE NOVEMBRE 🚧

Wednesday, September 9, 2026 | 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Rue Novembre will be closed from Bobby Gene Dr. to the curve to allow crews to complete culvert repair work.

🚧 Local traffic only will be permitted through the area during the closure.🚧

⚠️ Motorists are encouraged to use caution, watch for workers and equipment, plan for possible delays, and allow extra time for travel. Please use an alternate route if possible. ⚠️

🚧 ROAD/LANE STATUS – US 90 AT MERMENTAU RIVER BRIDGE, ACADIA PARISH 🚧

Tuesday, September 8, 2026 | 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) will conduct a routine bridge inspection, weather permitting.

Motorists should expect alternating lane closures. The roadway will remain open to regular traffic, with 16-foot lane restrictions for oversized loads traveling through the work zone.
