🔥 Burn Ban Rescinded in Acadia Parish 🔥

Following the advisory of our parish fire chiefs, the Acadia Parish Police Jury has officially lifted the burn ban effective immediately. The termination of the declaration, signed by Police Jury President Beau Petitjean, is posted below.

We sincerely thank all residents for their cooperation, patience, and understanding during this period. Your support has been essential in helping keep our communities safe.

Please continue to exercise caution and follow safe burning practices moving forward.

The Acadia Parish Police Jury was proud to attend the Region VII Meeting last night, hosted by Beauregard Parish in DeRidder, Louisiana!

We always enjoy the opportunity to come together with our fellow parishes, share ideas, and discuss ways we can continue working to better serve our communities.

We’re especially excited for what’s ahead! Acadia Parish Police Jury President Beau Petitjean will serve as President of the Region VII Board next year, and Acadia Parish is looking forward to hosting the Region VII Meeting in 2027!

Thank you to Beauregard Parish for the hospitality and for a great evening. We look forward to welcoming everyone to Acadia Parish next year!

Over the past five years, Kevin has become so much more than a familiar face around here. He’s someone we can count on, someone who is always willing to help, and someone whose hard work and dedication never go unnoticed.

On Monday evening, the Acadia Parish Police Jury had a great evening with Kayla Segura and the LSU AgCenter team in Crowley.

A big thank-you to Kayla and her team for hosting us, providing a meal, and taking the time to introduce us to the many programs and resources they provide right here in Acadia Parish.

From agriculture and our local rice and crawfish producers, to 4-H and our schools, horticulture, nutrition, and so much more, it was great to learn more about the people and programs available to help our constituents.

As the Police Jury, we want to make sure we understand these resources so we can help connect the people of Acadia Parish with the services available to them.

Thank you, Kayla, the LSU AgCenter team, and all of the Police Jurors and staff who attended. We truly appreciate your hospitality and the work you do for our community! 🌾🦞🌱

🔥 Burn Ban – Acadia Parish 🔥

Beau Petitjean, Police Jury President, has issued a burn ban due to ongoing dry conditions affecting the parish and surrounding areas.

🚫 NO outdoor burning of trash, leaves, or debris
✅ BBQs allowed only if attended and fully extinguished
⚠️ Dry conditions increase the danger

This burn ban will remain in effect until further notice and will be lifted only when conditions improve. Following it helps protect our homes, property, and the firefighters who serve our community.
