Croton Fire Patrol - Rescue 18

Croton Fire Patrol - Rescue 18 Croton Fire Patrol Co. No. 1 was created November 21, 1934. We are located at the Harmon Firehouse in the village of Croton-on-Hudson, NY

No. 1 is a fire protection company providing fire protection and rescue services as part of the Croton Fire Department, which is part of the municipal village government of the Village of Croton-on-Hudson, NY. Our primary fire apparatus is Rescue 18, a 2015 Spartan/Rescue1 custom-built Heavy Rescue truck. Rescue 18 carries the more specialized equipment for rescuing people, whether from motor vehi

cle accidents, water or ice rescues, rope rescues, elevators and of course fires. We respond to emergencies in the Village of Croton-on-Hudson, the Mt. Airy and Quaker Ridge Fire Districts in the unincorporated parts of the Town of Cortlandt, the Hudson River and any calls for mutual aid from our neighboring departments. Our members, like all members of the Croton FD, are 100% volunteer. Anyone 18 years of age or older can join and become a member. The Croton FD, with the help of the Westchester County Dept. of Emergency Services Fire Training Center, will provide all of the equipment and training necessary. All we ask for is your time commitment to help your neighbors in their time of need. Individuals 14 through 17 can join our junior corps Explorer Post (with parent/guardian permission) to learn about the fire service and help our adult members with basic tasks around the firehouses and on certain emergency scenes. Any individual who wants more information on joining the Croton FD can email [email protected] or stop by one of the three firehouses on a Monday night at 7pm. In case of an emergency, dial 911. If it is an urgent matter, but not an emergency, you may call the Croton Police desk, 914-271-5177 for assistance. If you need to contact the Headquarters of the Croton FD, call 914-271-2693 or email [email protected]. If you wish to contact our fire company specifically, please use the information in our "About" section of this page.

Happy New Year, neighbors! Croton Fire is always looking for new members. No experience required, and training is provided! Please come down to visit us on a Monday night around 7pm when we're performing our weekly rig check. Our members would be happy to talk about what we do, who we are, and the various ways we serve our community. (Note: we have five fire companies across the three fire houses. You are encouraged to determine which would be the best fit for YOU before you make a decision).

Hi neighbors! If you're venturing out tonight to ring in the new year, please be safe! Don't drink and drive!
