The Croton Fire Department will be holding our newest tradition - a “Holiday Parade” on Saturday, December 10th starting at 5:30pm.

It will begin on Benedict Blvd., roll through Harmon, the Upper Village, the North End and back down South Riverside Avenue.

We hope to see as many of you outside sharing in the seasonal joy with us as possible.

It's challenge course day for our EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operator Course) students!

Five of our members will be taking EVOC - Emergency Vehicle Operator Course - starting tonight. This classroom and road course training program is required of any member who pursues becoming a driver on one of our department's apparatus. Students will gain knowledge and skills necessary for successful operation of the apparatus.

Did you know, as a company, Croton Fire Patrol has the highest percentage of women in the Croton Fire Department? About 40% of the active and life active membership within the company are female, which is well above the national average of 8%!

We’d like to celebrate these women for today and all of our other sisters in the service!!

PUBLIC NOTICE FOR SUNDAY...

**PUBLIC NOTICE**

The Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department will be conducting Ice Rescue Training TOMORROW (Sunday 1/31/2021) at Kaplan’s Pond.

Members will be cutting up to three holes in the ice near the southwest corner of the pond. Once done, we will mark these off with barricades.

Please expect a number of FD vehicles & equipment on Giglio Court from 9AM - 3PM. Thanks.

Last night company members performed weekly rig check to ensure that everything works and runs as it’s expected to!

As we kickoff the new year, we wanna remind folks that members are around every Monday night at each firehouse if you’re interested in volunteering and/or seeing what the Croton Fire Department has to offer. Feel free to stop by! New members are always welcome!

Happy New Year, neighbors! Croton Fire is always looking for new members. No experience required, and training is provided! Please come down to visit us on a Monday night around 7pm when we're performing our weekly rig check. Our members would be happy to talk about what we do, who we are, and the various ways we serve our community. (Note: we have five fire companies across the three fire houses. You are encouraged to determine which would be the best fit for YOU before you make a decision).
