Staff Recommendation!
"The Rainmaker" by John Grisham (1995) was Grisham's sixth legal thriller. The story follows young attorney Rudy Baylor, who takes on his first courtroom case against an insurance agency. Like any Grisham story, it is a thrilling adventure from start to finish.

"The Last Order" by Kwame Mbalia (2025) is a Star-Wars novel that delves into former First-Order Stormtrooper Finn's backstory and his hunt for a First-Order officer. The book takes place after "The Rise of Skywalker."

Michael recommends "1984" by George Orwell, as it is "the godfather of Dystopian stories." It creates thought provoking ideas, commentary on the future, and a great character study on archetypes. With its importance, it helps both students contextualize for English courses and adults with finding new ideas to explore.
