This week is National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, and we want to take a minute to recognize some of the most important people in our department—our dispatchers.

Angie, Charlotte, Pam, Jodie, Katie, and Meredith… you are truly part of our family. You’re the voices our community counts on in the middle of chaos, the ones who keep everything grounded, and the ones who are always there no matter what the call brings.

The long shifts, the hard calls, the way you show up day in and day out—it does not go unnoticed. We are so thankful for each of you, not just for what you do, but for who you are.

NEWEST UPDATE: The water company believes the West Crossett issue to be resolved and has validated it with several residences. However, if you believe you are still experiencing issues please call the water company emergency line at 870-415-3822.

UPDATE: The water company has updated us that they have identified an issue with West Crossett water pressure and are actively working to fix it. We will keep you updated, apologize for the inconvenience, and appreciate the continued patience.

Water leak has been fixed and service should be restored! Thanks again for you patience and cooperation!!!

The City of Crossett is currently experiencing a significant water leak impacting numerous residential areas. City crews and water company crews are together actively working on-site to rectify the issue and restore services as expeditiously as possible. We appreciate your patience and cooperation in this matter, as well as your assistance in ensuring the safety of our crews and all city residents.

The Crossett Mayor’s Youth Council proudly presented a project proposal to CSD Superintendent Anthony Boykin at his office today. These young leaders did an exceptional job professionally and eloquently stating their proposal with substantial supporting information. They represented their peers and community extremely well and we look forward to where this project could lead Crossett. Mr Boykin we are extremely grateful for your time and consideration and look forward to hearing from you soon!

The City of Crossett will observe Good Friday on April 3, 2026, by closing its administrative offices, allowing staff to spend quality time with their loved ones. To maintain continuity of services, residential trash collection will be conducted citywide on Thursday, April 2, and there will be no garbage pickup on Good Friday. Wishing you and your family a joyous Easter!
