The District on Tuesday issued a water shortage advisory due to ongoing drought conditions across North Florida. This advisory encourages all water users to limit water use and conserve water to the maximum extent possible, while planning ahead for the possibility of extended drought.

Exciting news for Dixie County and North Florida! 🌱✨

Circularity2 has announced plans to build a state-of-the-art biochar facility in Cross City, investing in the community and creating up to 35 new jobs. The company will turn forestry and sawmill by-products into valuable biocarbon products used in agriculture, water purification, and carbon-neutral industries.

NFEDP was proud to play a key role in bringing this project to the region by connecting Circularity2 with local leaders, resources, and opportunities.

This is another step forward in strengthening North Florida’s economy, workforce, and future.
