It’s what neighbors do!

At Highlands Fire Department, our priority is providing reliable emergency medical care to the citizens we serve. After experiencing a series of unexpected mechanical issues with our ambulance fleet, Harris County ESD No. 5 (Crosby EMS) stepped up without hesitation by graciously loaning us an ambulance, allowing us to continue staffing two ambulances in our district.

This act of partnership is a great example of what the fire and EMS service is all about—neighboring departments working together to ensure our communities continue receiving the highest level of care when it matters most.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the leadership and personnel of Harris County ESD No. 5 (Crosby EMS) for their support and generosity. We are proud to stand alongside our neighboring agencies and look forward to continuing to work together, support one another, and provide the best possible service to the communities we protect.
