Huge thanks to Memorial Hermann Life Flight for the EMS Week gift. The crews were happy to see something getting delivered that didn’t require a stretcher 😂

During EMS Week, we recognize that the work of EMS extends far beyond the patient compartment of an ambulance.

This week, Medics Culbreth and Wong deployed to Lubbock at the request of EMTF-6 for a medical standby assignment. During downtime operations, they participated in Incident Within an Incident (IWI) wilderness rescue training alongside Strike Team 165 and Humble Fire Rescue’s Wilderness Paramedic Unit.

Thank you both for representing ESD5 at the highest level.

As we kick off EMS Week, we want to take a moment to recognize every member of the Crosby EMS family for the work you do each day across East Harris County.

This week is about celebrating the commitment, professionalism, compassion, and resilience that define our crews. The work is not easy. The hours are longer than anyone likes to admit. The expectations are high. Yet every day, you continue to show up for our patients AND each other.

ESD5 has become recognized across the region and state because of the people wearing this patch. From clinical excellence and injury prevention to innovation and leadership, you continue to set the standard for what modern EMS should look like.

THANK YOU for the sacrifices YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES make. Thank you for serving with pride. And thank you for representing ESD5 with integrity every single day.

Crosby EMS was proud to connect with over 1,000 students across Crosby ISD during the Careers on Wheels events, giving the students a hands on look at EMS and the people behind the profession.

Somewhere in that crowd was a future EMT, Paramedic, firefighter, 911 dispatcher, or a community leader.

Events like these are why outreach matters!
