Yesterday we had the honor of participating in the funeral of another Crosby Firefighter, Ken Moe.

Kenny was known for his service to others through volunteering, the military and for 20 years on the Crosby Fire Department.

Legacy is a significant part of the fire service and Ken Moe certainly upheld that. Kenny had two nephews, a great nephew and a great niece serve on CFD as well as several other family members serving in military and fire capacities throughout the country.

Pictured here you will see a set of Kenny’s gear that upon his retirement, his nephew wore while it remained in service.

Thank you Kenny for your time with us. Rest in Peace brother, we have got it from here.

Friends, let’s not burn today, eh?

Instead let’s dream about 4th of July together. Parade registration info coming soon!

With dry conditions, gusty winds, and low humidity, the National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for 66 counties in Minnesota for today, April 20, until 8 p.m.

While the Red Flag warning is in effect:
🚫Don’t burn brush and yard debris! Escaped fire from debris burning is the #1 cause of wildfires in Minnesota.
☑️Check any recent burning, including campfires, to ensure the fire is out COLD!
⚠️Campfires are strongly discouraged during the Red Flag.
‼️Be safe with ANY heat source that could cause a spark.

In these conditions, any spark could easily cause a wildfire that spreads quickly. Remember, you can prevent wildfires by following prevention tips! If you see a wildfire, get to a safe location and call 911 right away.
