Public Meeting Notice:

The City of Crosby would like to invite residents to a public open house December 3rd from 5 PM to 6 PM at City Hall to discuss the City’s planned improvements on 2nd Street S from Cross Avenue to 3rd Avenue SE and provide an update on schedule.

The city would like input from the public as the construction plans are prepared. The city is specifically interested in getting your feedback regarding street width in your neighborhood. Some questions to be discussed are, do you park on the street? Do you want parking on both sides of the street? Is the street too wide or too narrow or just right?

If you cannot attend, please still let us know your thoughts. You can email your thoughts to [email protected] or stop by city hall.

The legend of Serpent Lake in Crosby, Minnesota, is that the lake is home to a mythical sea serpent. The serpent sculpture in Crosby Memorial Park is named Kahnah' bek, which was chosen in a contest and is said to mean "serpent" in Ojibwe. Here is a video that tells the legend.

Wondering what the Braun and Traut trucks are doing in town? No we are not putting in new wells. They are here on behalf of the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency to do water sampling. They will be finishing up drilling near the skateboard park today (July 8th) and then moving to the Jessie F. Hallett Memorial Library tomorrow (July 9th and 10th).

Last spring Ranger Made designed and cut out the letters for the new wall at the Hallett Library in Crosby. The wall is finally up and ready for donors. Though this isn’t the Ranger Made class that made the letters (only Raegan was in the class at the time of making the letters) we still wanted to take a photo with it! Thanks Hallett library for the opportunity you gave our students!

The kiosks are an innovative way to help residents apply for benefits, upload case file documentation & easily access community resources without the need of traveling to the county building in Brainerd.
