NOTICE OF FILING AFFIDAVITS OF CANDIDACY
FOR CITY OFFICES
CITY OF CROSBY


Notice is hereby given, as provided in Minnesota Statutes, that a general election will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, for the purpose of electing candidates for the offices of Mayor – 2 Year Term, and two Council Members – 4 Year Term.

To file for office, you need to complete and file an Affidavit of Candidacy. You can pick up the packet at Crosby City Hall, 2 Second Street SW, Crosby, MN 56441. Affidavits of candidacy open on July 14, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. and close on July 28th at 5:00 p.m. Filing fee is $2.00 and must accompany the Affidavit of Candidacy.

Grass loves the heat and humidity and is literally growing like a w**d throughout town. Just a reminder that city code prohibits grass that is taller than 12 inches. Please keep your grass mowed and if you notice property with grass higher than 12 inches, please contact the city. Per city code we will notify the property owner and they have one week to mow. If they have not mowed, the city will mow the property, and the cost will be assessed to the property. Noxious weeks also must be eradicated. FRAUD ALERT
Be on the alert for any unusual invoices coming from the city of Crosby such as the one below. If you receive something like this, reach out to the city ASAP and do not pay it. The city will NOT send an invoice with remittance instructions, and we do not have stationary that looks like this, although I kind of like it! The name and personal info have been redacted on this invoice. The one sent to you will have your name, address, phone number and email.

For public information: The City of Crosby has approved a transient merchant/peddlers license for Kaarel.

This license requires a background check and approves him to sell books door to door. If you have any questions or concerns call Crosby Police Department.
