SEVERE STORMS POSSIBLE THURSDAY IN OHIO-

We will likely be tracking several clusters of storms moving northwest to southeast across Ohio on Thursday. The threat will likely begin in northern Ohio early Thursday morning with storms developing southward through the afternoon and evening hours. It is somewhat unclear how numerous storms will be through the afternoon and evening.

However, with plenty of instability or “storm fuel” to work with, any storms that do develop could quickly become severe. Storms will likely be a bit more likely in the Level 2 (out of 5) risk area.

The main threat from storms will be from damaging wind gusts and hail. Also, frequent lightning is likely. While to tornado threat does appear quite low, an isolated spin up cannot be ruled out.

🥵 HOT & HUMID CONDITIONS EXPECTED

A Heat Advisory is in effect for Crooksville and surrounding areas beginning 1 PM today through 8 PM Wednesday.

🌡️ Heat index values could reach around 103°F.

High temperatures and humidity can lead to heat exhaustion and heat stroke, especially for those working or spending extended time outdoors.

🚒 PLEASE TAKE PRECAUTIONS:
• Drink plenty of water and stay hydrated 💧
• Take frequent breaks in the shade or air conditioning
• Limit strenuous outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day
• Wear lightweight, loose-fitting clothing
• Check on elderly neighbors, family members, and those without air conditioning
• Never leave children or pets in a hot vehicle 🚫🐶

If you are working outside, slow down, take breaks, and watch out for one another.

This evening area First Responders and Military personnel were invited to the Crooksville Ceramics first Home Game for an appreciation event.

We want to Thank Crooksville EV Schools for putting this on and providing dinner!

The support the School shows our department is top notch.

There were hundreds more First Responders and Military that could not be in attendance that has been in our area helping over the last 2 weeks.

We are blessed to have the support we do!
