Officer Spotlight - Officer Jones

Officer Jones holds a Bachelorโ€™s degree from the University of New Haven, as well as her Emergency Medical Technician Certification where she began her career in public service. In 2013, Officer Jones started her law enforcement career at Uconn Health Center in Farmington then transfered to Cromwell Police Department in 2014.

During her career in Cromwell, she has worked in the Patrol division, as a Field Training Officer, a Detective, an Administrative Officer assisting in accomplishing State Accreditation for the agency, and currently as a School Resource Officer.

Officer Jones is dedicated to serving the community and is actively involved in numerous community outreach activities and the development of the Cromwell Police Department Food Pantry . As President of the Cromwell Police Benevolent Association (PBA), she advocates for members, fosters positive relationships within the department, and promotes charitable efforts that strengthen connections between law enforcement and the community.

A special message from Officer Pete:

Congratulations to all of our students who successfully completed the DARE program this year! We are incredibly proud of the dedication, maturity, and commitment you demonstrated while learning valuable skills to make safe, healthy, and responsible choices.

A very special congratulations to our DARE Essay winners! ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ‘ Your thoughtful essays, personal reflections, and powerful messages truly stood out. Thank you for sharing your voices and inspiring those around you.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to our school administrators, teachers, support staff, Cromwell Youth Services, and families for their ongoing partnership and support throughout the year. Your encouragement, guidance, and commitment to our students help make programs like DARE successful and meaningful.

Officers from Cromwell PD alongside members of the Cromwell FD, volunteered their time today to support the upcoming Special Olympics in Connecticut.

They carried the torch from town line to town line, receiving it from our neighbors in Middletown and passing it on to officers in Rocky Hill.

Connecticut Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics

Letโ€™s show our Support for Cromwell Police Department & Fire Department as they send the Flame of Hope on its journey to the Special Olympics Summer Games.

The CT Law Enforcement Torch Run is more than just a run! For athletes and officers alike, the LETR for Special Olympics is a story of success, love, respect, and commitment between law enforcement officers and Special Olympic athletes.

Please be mindful of runners and es**rt vehicles along the route! Expect brief traffic delays at approximately 1:45pm on Route 3/Shunpike Road from the Middletown town line to the Rocky Hill town line as the Flame of Hope passes through our community.

Due to inclement weather, todayโ€™s Memorial Day Parade has been canceled.

We appreciate everyoneโ€™s understanding and thank the community, participants, volunteers, and organizers for their support. Most importantly, we continue to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation this Memorial Day.
