Crivitz Police Department The Crivitz Police Department was founded in 1992 and is located in the front of the Village Hall. The department currently staffs two full time officers.

The Crivitz Police Department was created in 1992 and is located in the front of the Village Hall. When a local officer is not on duty, the Village is covered by the Marinette County Sheriff's Department. Village officers are dispatched by the County Dispatch Center and may be requested by calling the non-emergency telephone number (715)732-7600, or in the event of an emergency, please dial 911. T

Crivitz Police Department’s K9 Cash has received a bullet and stab protective vest

The Crivitz Police Department’s K9 Cash has received a ballistic vest thanks to a nonprofit organization, Vested Interest in K9s, Inc., and Julius Jacobson a resident of Niagara, WI provided $1050.00 for the vest. The vest will be embroidered with the sentiment “In Loving Memory, RIP Zeus & all fallen K9s”.

Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. is a 501c (3) charity located in East Taunton, MA whose mission is to provide bullet and stab protective vests and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement and related agencies throughout the United States. Each vest costs $1050.00 and has a 5 year warranty. The nonprofit was established in 2009 to assist law enforcement agencies with this potentially lifesaving body armor for their four legged K9 Officers. Through private and corporate sponsorships, Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. provided over 1468 law enforcement dogs in 49 states with protective vests since 2009 at a cost of over $1.3 million dollars.

Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. announces their signature tank top is now available online for a $20.00 donation at www.vik9s.org. Proceeds will provide bullet and stab protective vests, for police dogs actively working without the potentially lifesaving equipment.

The organization orders the U.S. made vests exclusively from distributor Regency Police Supply in Hyannis, MA who also does the custom embroidery on the body armor. Vests are manufactured by Armor Express in Central Lake, MI.

New K9 graduates as well as K9's with expired vests are eligible to participate. The program is open to law enforcement dogs who are US employed, certified and at least 19 months of age.

The Crivitz Police Department’s K9 Cash has been awarded a ballistic vest thanks to a nonprofit organization, Vested Interest in K9s, Inc., and Julius Jacobson a resident of Niagara, WI provided $1050.00 for the vest. K9 Cash is a 6 year old German Shepherd that is certified in Patrol and Narcotics work. Cash is assigned to Officer Spencer Elias whom has been a Handler with the Crivitz Police Department since May of 2014. During his first year on the streets Cash has assisted with numerous apprehensions and narcotic seizures. K9 Cash loves playing tug-a-war with his many toys, going for walks, and playing in the fresh snow.

The Crivitz Police Department is investigating the vandalism of the Playscape Park. Sometime this last weekend several individuals vandalized the Playscape Park with blue and pink spray paint. Also several road signs on 3rd Avenue in the Village were spray painted with the same blue paint.
Anyone with information on who was involved in this vandalism is encouraged to contact the Crivitz Police Department or the school office. All information will be strictly confidential and you can remain anonymous.
The Village of Crivitz is offering a $250.00 cash reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individuals involved in this crime.
Also because of this incident both Curfew and Village park hours will be strictly enforced. All Village parks close at 9 pm and Village Curfew is 11 pm for anyone under the age of 18.

Please turn on your porch light if you wish to have trick or treaters come to your home or business. Parents, please instruct children to go only to the homes or businesses with their porch lights on.

It is strongly recommended that adults accompany young children and remind all children to be extra careful when crossing roads so that all may enjoy a safe and happy Halloween.
