Can you guess how much volume is on the garage floor?!

Our training tonight was very hands on with wound management, blood loss estimates and multiple scenarios on managing different injuries.

Estimating blood loss is very important for EMTs because it helps determine how seriously a patient is injured and how likely they are to develop hypovolemic shock. While visual estimates are often imperfect, they provide very valuable information for us when combined with the patient’s vital signs and overall presenting condition.

For EMTs, estimating blood loss is one piece of the overall patient assessment. It should always be valued alongside the patient’s current symptoms, vital signs, mechanism of injury, and any ongoing bleeding to make the best treatment and transport decisions. 🩸

ATTENTION LOCAL YOUTH GROUPS!🥳❤️🚑

Crivitz Rescue Squad (CRS) is offering scholarships to our local youth sport organizations for the purchase of safety equipment!!
The scholarship was started many years ago by the members of CRS in an effort to honor Mr. Carl Gocht. Mr. Gocht, a former EMT with the squad, was well-known to be a HUGE Wolverines fan. For many years, he showed his support for the student athletes by attending most of the school's sporting events, those at home and away. He dedicated many years of his life to the advancement of various sports for the children of our community.

Through the efforts of our squad members, money is placed in a special account for every call they are dispatched for throughout the year. This account is held separate from other CRS accounts. Every few years the squad divides these monies, through a grant process, to area youth athletic teams.
Teams do not have to be school affiliated.
In years past cheerleaders, baseball teams, ski teams, kids hunting organizations, etc., have all applied.

Organizations wishing to apply for the 2026 scholarship will fill out an application and return to us by October 15, 2026.

🌼 BACK TO SCHOOL - SPONSOR A SCHOOL STAFF MEMBER! 🍎✏️

Back-to-school season is here, and I want to do something really special for the people who spend their days teaching, helping, encouraging, feeding, transporting, cleaning up after, and caring for our kids. ❤️

This year, Bloom & Brook is challenging our community to sponsor EVERY staff member at Crivitz and Wausaukee Schools with their own cheerful blooming gerbera daisy to welcome them back!
