Last night we celebrated Brandy Draheim. Brandy recently completed the state certified FF1 course. Ladders,hose advancement, search and rescue and fire suppression, anyone who has completed this course knows how challenging it can be. The CLFD would like to congratulate Brandy on this huge accomplishment. Thank you Brandy for all the sacrifices and hard work you put in to serve the Crooked Lake and surrounding communities. Brandy deserves a big 'ol pat on the back if you see her.

We still need your stuff! The CLVFD auction is this coming Sunday, May 24th starting at 11 am. We will be at the firehouse this Saturday from 9am to 12pm to collect any treasures you want to drop off. We will also be taking in items Sunday the day of the auction, we are there pretty early on Sunday. While you're there, check out all the life saving equipment that your support has helped us to purchase. We cannot thank this community enough.

This is a proud moment for our fire department. This is Jarret Milquet, Jarret started out as a kid just wanting a ride in a firetruck once in a while, to becoming a Cadet. That lead to him becoming a firefighter for the CLFD (even got his Dad to join). Last night Jarret graduated with honors from the fire protection program at NWTC. Jarret is also a volunteer for the Hobart fire department. Thank you Jarret for putting in all the hard work to serve the Crooked Lake community and the Hobart community. We are very proud of you.

May 4th is International Fire Fighters appreciation day. In the volunteer fire service it's not just the people who wear turnout gear that make a difference. Crooked Lake has an awesome Fire Auxiliary and multiple community members who help support us in many ways. The CLFD would like to give a shout out to them and everyone who has ever attended any of our events. Thank you! It really is an honor to serve this community.
