🚗 National Passenger Safety Week | September 20–26

The Crestwood Police Department is launching our Passenger Safety Campaign from September 18–30, with officers paying special attention to child passenger restraint and seat belt violations.

Every trip matters, and a properly secured passenger can make the difference between life and death in a crash. Parents and caregivers are reminded to:

👶 Use the right car seat or booster seat based on your child’s age, height, weight, and developmental needs.

đź”’ Install the seat correctly. A safety seat that is not properly installed may not provide the protection it was designed to provide.

🎗️ Make sure every passenger is buckled up—every trip, every time.

👨‍👩‍👧 Children should be properly restrained in the back seat whenever possible.

Our goal is not simply to issue citations—it is to educate, prevent injuries, and protect our youngest passengers.

Before you hit the road, take a moment to make sure your child’s safety seat is the right seat, installed correctly, and being used properly.

Buckle up. Secure your child. Arrive safely.

Due to parking incidents that occurred last night, the Village of Crestwood has implemented a new parking and traffic plan at Playfield Park to help ensure the safety of all athletes, families, staff, and visitors.

Effective September 11, 2026, all vehicles must follow the parking and drop-off areas outlined on the map below. Please review the map carefully before arriving at the park.

The color-coded areas on the map indicate the following:
• Yellow: Designated areas where parking is permitted
• Red: No parking and no drop-off permitted
• Blue: Handicap parking and Village of Crestwood employee parking only
• Green: Designated athlete drop-off area
• Pink: No vehicle entrance between 7pm-8pm. Exit only

These designated areas are in place to maintain safe traffic flow and, most importantly, ensure that emergency vehicles have clear and immediate access throughout the park.

Additionally, from 7:00 PM–8:00 PM, there will be no vehicle entrance past Field 1. This area will be used as an exit-only route for vehicles during this time.

Please be advised that vehicles parked or stopped in areas that are not designated for parking or drop-off may be ticketed and/or towed. These policies will be strictly enforced.

We appreciate everyone's cooperation and understanding as we work together to maintain a safe and organized environment at Playfield Park. Thank you for helping us ensure the safety of everyone who visits and participates at the park each evening.

Thank you for your cooperation,
Rocco Mossuto
