It's that time of year and snow is coming! Please give our snow plow drivers a break and either park your vehicles off of the street (preferred) or on the ODD NUMBERED side of the street to allow them to plow more efficiently and safely.

This is a great opportunity to reach out to your neighbors to help spread the word! Thanks Crestwood!!

❄️ REMINDER: Parking During Snow Events ❄️

With snow in the forecast this weekend, please park off the street if possible or, if necessary, park on the odd-numbered side of the street (2025–26 winter season).

This helps snowplows clear roads safely and efficiently. Vehicles parked on both sides can block plows, leaving snow piles and hazardous conditions.

⏱️ This rule remains in effect until snow removal operations are complete.
🚫 On streets with existing one-side parking restrictions, continue to park on the unrestricted side.

🙏 Our Public Works crews appreciate your cooperation as they work to keep streets safe and passable.

This afternoon I had the pleasure of attending the DARE Graduation at Holy Cross Academy - St. Louis. It was encouraging to see a room full of proud families and so many 5th graders who worked hard to complete this valuable program.

Congratulations to each of the students! DARE gives young people tools that matter, and the lessons they carry forward will serve them well and strengthen the community around them. Also a big thank you to Crestwood Police Officer Olson for his dedication and commitment to making this program possible year after year.

I’m super proud of all these students and look forward to the amazing impact they will have on our community.

🇺🇸 Veterans Day Ceremony – Tuesday, November 11 at 11 a.m.

Crestwood invites all residents to join us at City Hall as we honor the men and women who have served our nation. This special ceremony, hosted in partnership with the John Sappington Chapter Daughters Of The American Revolution, will pay tribute to the courage, sacrifice, and service of our veterans — past and present.

If you are a veteran, we especially hope you’ll join us so we can thank you in person for your service.

Hunger doesn’t always look the way we expect — and it exists right here in our own community. This month, two Crestwood departments are collecting food to help local families in need.
If you’re heading to City Hall, the Community Center, or the Police Department, please bring a few canned goods or pantry items with you. Your donation could be the difference that helps a neighbor through a tough time.
Let’s show what Crestwood is made of — generosity, compassion, and community. 💛

This November, the Parks & Recreation and Police Departments are hosting food drives to support local families in need. Join us in giving back this holiday season—donate canned goods and non-perishable items throughout the month at various locations.

WE WANT YOUR DRUGS! Okay maybe we don't really WANT your drugs. We are however willing to take your old and unused prescriptions so that they may be disposed of safely.

This coming Saturday from 10a-2p, officers will be stationed in the City Hall Lobby collecting unwanted prescription medication to be submitted to the US Drug Enforcement Agency for destruction. We ask that you bring no sharps (needles), liquid (such as cough medicine), or aerosols (inhalers).

It is our sincere hope that by properly disposing of unwanted and unneeded prescription medications that they do not fall into the wrong hands, causing harm in our community.

Had a great time this weekend handing out unofficial Lemonade “Business Licenses” to a few of Crestwood’s youngest entrepreneurs—and enjoying their delicious products along the way!

If your kids are planning to open a stand this summer, feel free to send me an email a day or two in advance at [email protected]. (I don’t use Facebook Messenger.) If I’m available, I’d be happy to stop by and say hello.

Looking forward to a great summer in Crestwood! 🍋☀️
(By the way, lemonade stands don’t need a real business license—this is just for fun.)

Despite the rain, volunteers showed up in force today for the rescheduled Arbor Day event at Crestwood Park.

Thanks to their hard work, over a hundred native trees, shrubs, and plants were added along the creek banks—an important step in supporting wildlife habitat and reducing erosion.

A huge thank you to Crestwood Parks & Recreation Department, our Conservation Consultant Angie Weber, and the partner organizations: Open Space STL, Forest ReLeaf of Missouri, and the Missouri Department of Conservation .

And of course, thank you to everyone who rolled up their sleeves and helped make this possible. We’re grateful for your commitment to Crestwood’s natural spaces. 🌱
