👷Evening/Overnight Bridge Maintenance Work on Turkeyfoot Road👷
We'll begin a bridge deck patching project on the Turkeyfoot Road bridge overpass over I-275 on Tuesday, Sept. 15. This work will require various lane and ramp closures that change nightly -- so take note!
Tuesday, Sept. 15 from 8 p.m. to Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 5 a.m.:
1️⃣Interstate 275 westbound single right lane closure from east of Turkeyfoot Road to west of the bridge overpass
2️⃣Exit off-ramp from I-275 westbound to Dixie Highway (under the overpass) will be closed.
3️⃣The exit on-ramp from Turkeyfoot Road to Dixie Highway/I-275 westbound will remain open during working hours.
4️⃣A single right southbound lane closure on Turkeyfoot Road will take place from south of Yancey Drive to south of the bridge overpass.
Wednesday, Sept. 16 from 7 p.m. to Thursday, Sept. 17 at 5 a.m.:
1️⃣I-275 westbound single left lane closure in the project area beginning at 7 p.m. A double left lane closure will take place beginning at 10 p.m.
2️⃣A single right southbound lane closure on Turkeyfoot Road will take place from south of Yancey Drive to south of the bridge overpass.
3️⃣I-275 westbound exit on/off ramps at Turkeyfoot Road and Dixie Highway expected to remain open during these working hours.
Thursday, Sept. 17 from 9 p.m. to Friday, Sept. 18 to 12:15 a.m.:
1️⃣From 9 p.m. to just after midnight: I-275 eastbound double left lane closure from west of the Dixie Highway overpass to east of the Turkeyfoot Road overpass
Friday, Sept. 18 from 12:15 a.m. to 6 a.m.:
1️⃣Traffic will shift to the left two lanes with a single right lane closure in the project area.
2️⃣The on-ramp from Dixie Highway to I-275 eastbound will be closed.
Plan ahead and expect delays. This work is important to ensuring the bridge overpass can be used safely for years to come! All lanes/ramps are expected to reopen once work concludes each morning. We'll let folks know if additional nights of work are needed to get this project completed!
