The theme for July, of the 250th celebration of the birth of America, here in Ohio is, " Statewide Homecoming". Did you grow up in Crestline? What do you remember about our town? Stop in the library or email the library about those memories to Carolyn Helbert, adult program coordinator- [email protected]. Your memories are due by June 25. The memories will be published in a July Advocate.
There are 8 spots left to join the Bingocize group for the summer. This activity combines bingo (and yes, there are prizes) with exerise. This program is brought to the Crestline Library from the Galion Health Department. The cost is $10 cash for the entire program. The sessions are twice weekly. Tuesday's 2:30-3:30 and Thursday's 10am-11am, and continue until August 4. Come join the fun and learn too!
The library will be showing another movie set and produced in Ohio, as part of the 250th anniversary of the United State. The movie will be shown June 11, 2pm, rated R, and is 2 hours, 20 minutes long. This movie stars Morgan Freeman and Tim Robbins and was filmed at the Mansfield, Ohio Reformatory and various other places around north central Ohio. The movie is free and snacks will be provided.
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources will be visiting Crestline Public LIbrary on June 16, 1pm, to highlight and bring information about the state park system. This program is free and open to all ages.
An additional program has been added to the adult/teen summer program list. There will be an opportunity to paint a patriotic wooden wreath, June 24, 1:30pm. There is no cost, all materials provided but there are only 12 spots. Call the library to sign up, 419-683-3909.
June Children's Programs:
June 17, 10am- Mr. Puppet, a favorite children's puppeteer, returns with his fun puppets.
June 23, 10 am-Joanie Calem, brings "Unearthing Hidden Treasure" through music and reading fun for the children.
June 30, 10am- Magic Nate will delight the children with his magic.
