The Fred Endert Municipal Pool is hiring part-time lifeguards. No experience? No problem. We're offering a Lifeguard Certification Class on September 23rd and 24th. If you pass this class, you can move onto the next phase of being considered for employment. We're especially interested in those who have morning availability and a flexible schedule.

In addition to increased wet weather tomorrow, higher winds are also expected. Remember, the first rains cause slippery roads and the kids are out on their way to school, so please drive slowly and cautiously. Take the extra few minutes to arrive at your destination safely.

Gusty southerly winds are likely ahead of the rainfall on Wednesday. The strongest winds will be in the late morning and early afternoon in Del Norte and Humboldt Counties. Locally stronger winds are possible on coastal headlands and exposed ridges.
