Children's Health Collaborative of Del Norte County Thus, the CHC is a proud participant in First Lady Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” Campaign.

The Children's Health Collaborative (CHC) is a community-based organization founded on the conviction that all children and youth in the Del Norte County school system should have access to wholesome, healthy food options. Comprised of physicians, teachers, parents, and many more, the CHC is currently rallying around issues such as candy in classrooms, salad bars in every school, and revamping the

current district lunch system. With small gains along the way, such as salad bars in all except two of the district schools, the CHC is committed to increasing healthful habits and lowering the incidence of childhood obesity in Del Norte County. With this as a focal point, the CHC continues to seek innovative ways of promoting healthful habits amongst youth and families in Del Norte County. The CHC invites collaboration with various health organizations and community groups, and opens its doors to all interested parties
