📣 5 Days Until the Montgomery County 4-H Open House!

Join us from 1:00-4:00 PM on Saturday, September 12 at the Farm, Home, & Youth Complex to explore all that Montgomery County 4-H has to offer!

Each club will have a display table where you can meet members and leaders, ask questions, and learn about our 20+ clubs for youth ages 5-18 before registration for the new 4-H year opens on October 1.

🐶 Featured Club: Seeing Eye Puppy Club

The Seeing Eye Puppy Club is a unique partnership between The Seeing Eye and 4-H. Club members raise and train a puppy from approximately 8 weeks old until 16 months of age, helping prepare them for their future role as guide dogs.

The club meets on the fourth Monday evening of each month for their regular meetings and participates in many additional outings to provide valuable exposure and training opportunities for their puppies. Members help their puppies learn how to confidently navigate the world, preparing them to return to The Seeing Eye for advanced training before being matched with a person who is visually impaired.

🐍 Featured Club: Rockin' Reptile Herpetology Club

The Rockin' Reptile Club welcomes youth ages 8-18 who are interested in reptiles and amphibians. The club meets on the third Thursday of each month and offers members additional activities, including: stream cleanups, educational visits to schools and nursing homes with their reptiles and so much more!

ONE WEEK until our annual Montgomery County 4-H Open House!

Open House is from 1-4pm on Saturday Sept 12th at the Farm, Home, & Youth Complex! Each club will have a table just like in the picture where you can learn more about our 20+ clubs for youth ages 5-18 before registration for the new 4-H year opens on October 1st!

Pictured here is the Potato Judging Club! Our members practice every Sunday afternoon in November and December to compete at the Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg in January! It's open to youth ages 5-18 and is a great mix of kids!

A friendly reminder that the 4-H Year-End Award deadline is quickly approaching!

✅ Tuesday, September 8 is the deadline to submit:

🍀 Clover Award Applications (submitted either on paper or through zSuite)

🐄 Animal Science Members: Your Farm Credit Award Applications are also due, along with your project books.

Don't wait until the last minute! Take a few minutes this weekend to make sure your applications and project books are complete and submitted on time.
