🍀💚 Montgomery County is headed to the State Horse Show! 🐴

Best of luck to all of our 4-H members who qualified to compete at the PA 4-H State Horse Show today through Sunday at the Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg!

Qualifying for States is an exciting accomplishment. We’re proud of you and can’t wait to cheer you on! 🐴🍀

The Furry Friends Rabbit and Cavy club had their annual Halloween costume contest last night at their club meeting!

There was so much creativity in the costumes, dioramas, member and animal costumes, etc! Always a fun night!

Grab your brightest neon and join us for an unforgettable 80s-inspired evening as we celebrate the accomplishments of Montgomery County 4-H youth and recognize the dedicated volunteers who help make our program shine!

Achievement Night is a special opportunity to honor outstanding member achievements, milestones, and contributions from the past year while reflecting on the many highlights that make our 4-H community so vibrant.
Following the awards program, guests are invited to enjoy a light dessert reception provided by the Montgomery County 4-H Program Development Committee.

Come celebrate with us as we turn up the neon, spotlight our successes, and recognize the people who make Montgomery County 4-H glow!

Date: Sunday October 18th, 2026
Place: FHY Complex/4-H Center gym
Time: 3:00pm

County wide community service collection:
Teen Council will be collecting items for the Montgomery County SPCA.
Items most in need: blankets/towels, beef trachea tubes, new cardboard cat scratchers, kitten, cat, puppy and dog canned or wet food, factory sealed Purina dog or cat food - dry and canned, unopened peanut butter (without xylitol), spray cheese or kong filling, and crates.

✨ Dress in your favorite 80s or neon attire and get ready for an afternoon of recognition, memories, and fun!

Last week, we sent a team of Livestock Skillathon members to compete at the Stockman's Contest at the Keystone International Livestock Exposition held at the Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg.

It was a large contest with teens from across Pennsylvania and even North Carolina and Kentucky!

Our team placed 8th out of 40 teams overall in the contest! Almost 200 teens competed in the event and individually our members all placed in the Top 40, with Sage breaking the Top 20, placing 19th overall!

Montgomery County 4-H at the Capital on Tuesday! Tyler, one of the State Project Ambassadors (SPAs) was there for the event!

🎉 Nearly 50 teens joined us last night for our annual Montgomery County 4-H Teen Night!

What a fantastic way to kick off the new 4-H year and celebrate National 4-H Week. 💚🍀

A huge thank you to our Teen Council members for leading icebreakers and an interactive game that helped participants learn about the many opportunities available through 4-H.

Teens then had the chance to mix, mingle, and participate in a variety of activities, including a yarn pumpkin craft led by our Crafting Club leaders, decorating cookies for a snack, creating Rubik's Cube decorations for our upcoming 4-H Achievement Night, making bracelets, and helping with a community service project by coloring signs to assist residents in finding the Ballot Drop Box located at the facility.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the evening a success, and especially to the teens who came out to connect, learn, serve, and have fun. We can't wait to see what this group of young leaders accomplishes in the year ahead!
