๐Ÿš‘โœจ Today we would like to highlight our Community Paramedic Program!
This innovative program is designed to bring healthcare directly to those who need it mostโ€”right where they are. By expanding the role of paramedics beyond emergency response, weโ€™re improving access to care and helping reduce unnecessary hospital visits.
This is a major step forward in delivering compassionate, proactive, and patient-centered care.
Join us as we work to build a healthier, stronger communityโ€”together.

๐Ÿš’ Training Day ๐Ÿš’

Our crews have been hard at work getting hands-on training with our new ladder truck. From aerial operations to equipment familiarization, this training ensures our firefighters are ready to respond safely and effectively when our community needs us most.

These photos highlight the dedication and teamwork that go into preparing for every call. Continuous training keeps our crews sharp and helps us deliver the highest level of service.

Weโ€™re proud to add this new apparatus to our fleet and even prouder of the professionals who train tirelessly to operate it. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ”ฅ

Join us as we proudly celebrate the arrival of our new ladder truck with a traditional Push-In Ceremony!

This time-honored fire service tradition dates back to the late 1800's when horse-drawn steamers couldn't easily reverse and firefighters would physically push their apparatus into the station bay. Weโ€™re excited to carry on that legacy with our community by our side.

Come meet your firefighters, check out the new ladder truck up close, take photos, and help us officially push it into it's new home!
We look forward to seeing you! ๐Ÿš’๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ”ฅ

B shift had a large group at Station 1 this morning. These future heroes got to sit in a fire truck, check out bunker gear, and see all the tools & equipment used to fight a fire.
We love any opportunity to engage and educate the future generations of first responders! ๐Ÿš’๐Ÿšจ

On Monday, WCFR conducted a Special Operations training class at Go Pull It in Tallahassee (formerly Pick-N-Pull). We are thankful that they provided us with vehicles to conduct this training. This allowed for a more advanced extrication exercise for our staff who participated.

Several WCFR staff members have completed advanced courses in Vehicle Machine Rescue (VMR) Operations and Technician levels. This training equips our team with the skills needed for effective vehicle and machine extrications. The team trains quarterly to maintain and enhance these skills, ensuring they are prepared when help is needed and able to serve our county well!

Congratulations to former Wakulla County Fire Cadets Josiah Money! ๐Ÿš’๐Ÿ‘

We are incredibly proud to recognize Josiah as one of the newest employees of Wakulla County Fire Rescue, officially starting this week. Josiah was a valued member of our Fire Cadet Program throughout all four years of high school, consistently showing dedication, work ethic, and a true passion for the fire service.

After graduating in May, Josiah has already earned his Firefighter/EMT certification and is now serving our community in an official role. This is exactly the kind of success our cadet program strives to support, and we couldnโ€™t be more proud to see him take this next step.

Congratulations, Josiah โ€” your Wakulla County Fire family is proud of you, and we canโ€™t wait to see what the future holds! ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ’ช
