On this Flag Day, we are pleased to share these important points about flag etiquette from the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). 🇺🇸

▶️ Do not let the flag touch the ground.
▶️ Do not fly the flag upside down unless there is an emergency.
▶️ Do not carry the flag flat, or carry things in it.
▶️ Do not use the flag as clothing.
▶️ Do not store the flag where it can get dirty.
▶️ Do not use it as a cover.
▶️ Do not fasten it or tie it back. Always allow it to fall free.
▶️ Do not draw on, or otherwise mark the flag.

Per federal code, it is the universal custom to display the flag only from sunrise to sunset.

The flag may be displayed twenty-four hours a day if properly illuminated during the hours of darkness.

Learning to drive is a process, and Florida's Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) laws are designed to make that process safer.

For drivers ages 15 through 17, the GDL program gradually introduces new driving privileges while placing limits intended to reduce risk and encourage safe decision-making.

By understanding these requirements, parents and teens can work together to build experience, confidence, and responsible driving habits.

Florida’s license-free fishing days are the perfect opportunity to cast a line without purchasing a fishing license.

Whether you're introducing a child to fishing, bringing a friend along for their first fishing adventure, or simply enjoying a day on the water, everyone can participate (residents and visitors).

The saltwater waiver applies to any recreational harvest requiring a saltwater fishing license (e.g., crabbing, lobstering, scalloping, etc.) as well as fishing from shore or a boat. All seasons, size limits, and bag limits still apply.
