The 2026 Montgomery Co. Sheep & Goat Showmanship Boot Camp is happening Saturday, June 20 from 8:30 AM–12:30 PM at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds! This hands-on boot camp is perfect for youth wanting expert tips, practice, and confidence with their animals.

All animals must be completely and correctly identified in 4-H Online by May 15 to be eligible for the county fair and the Indiana State Fair. DNA hair samples and animal leases are also due to the Extension Office by May 15.

❗DNA hair samples are required for swine, sheep, meat goats, dairy cattle, and beef cattle (State Fair eligibility).

🍀The Indiana 4-H Animal Identification deadline is May 15th! DNA hair samples and animal leases are also due to your local Purdue Extension Office by May 15th.
🏆To be eligible for your county fair and the Indiana State Fair, your animals must be completely and correctly identified in Indiana 4-H Online (in.4honline.com) by the end of the day on Friday, May 15, 2026.
❗As a reminder, DNA hair samples are required for all swine, sheep, meat goats, dairy cattle, and beef cattle to be eligible for exhibition at the Indiana State Fair 4-H Show. DNA hair samples are due in the County Extension Office by May 15th. Animal identification requirements can be found at purdue.ag/4HAnimalIDRequirements.

Join us for Montgomery County Mini 4-H Day Camp!

We’re excited to welcome youth for two mornings full of hands-on activities, games, crafts, and summer fun! Mini 4-H Camp is a great opportunity for kids to learn, make friends, and experience all that 4-H has to offer.

We are so grateful for our amazing supporters! 💚

During Purdue Day of Giving, Montgomery County received 114 gifts, placing us 3rd in the state among Extension counties! 🎉

That support earned an additional $850 in bonus funding, which goes directly back to helping with repairs to our local Extension Office.
