Kathy Hochul Has Blood On Her Hands
"Five people lost their lives and dozens are in the hospital today because Kathy Hochul refuses to enforce the law,” Nassau County Executive and Candidate for Governor Bruce Blakeman said. “Hochul is handing out commercial licenses to illegal migrants and non-English speakers who should never be behind the wheel of an 80,000-pound truck. Hochul’s lawlessness caused a crash in Pembroke, and now that danger has spread to Virginia—leaving the blood of these devastating accidents squarely on her hands. This lethal incompetence ends the day I take office."
Blakeman’s statement follows the horrific I-95 bus crash in Virginia that killed five people and hospitalized 44 others, and the Pembroke bus crash that killed another 5 people last August. In both cases, the driver had a New York Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) despite not speaking English—a blatant violation of federal safety regulations.
Blakeman promised immediate, aggressive action to dismantle Hochul’s licensing practices when elected.
"The minute I become Governor, this lawless free-for-all is over," Blakeman vowed. "We are going to audit every single CDL doled out under Kathy Hochul. We are pulling the files. For every single illegal license handed out to a non-English speaker or illegal migrant, we are ripping it up. And for every one we revoke, we’re going to open up three new commercial licensing slots for hard-working New Yorkers who follow the rules and just want to make an honest living to support their families. We are taking our roads back."
