This year's Rhode Island Children's Book Award list inspired THREE TIMES the number of kids to vote this year over last year. With about 25% of the votes, "They Call Me No Sam!" was our school winner. We find out the state winner soon!

Bought these at a local bookstore clearance sale yesterday. Not a bad haul for $40! I have been meaning to create a dedicated bin for InvestiGators/Agents of S.U.I.T., but most of the books are either on hold or get snatched out of the return bin as soon as they come back!

A million thank-yous to our M-W book fair volunteers: Kerri Bakalakis, Tom Bakalakis, Ashley DeSimone, Evgenia Marsocci, Danielle Parillo, Michaela Pizzutti, Sara Ross, and Kelley Stacey.

I placed a restock order this morning for items that have sold out, but some are only available via online shopping. If your student can't find the book they want on R-F, you should be able to order it on the Scholastic site.

And if your family budget doesn't allow for new books - I mean, that's what the library is for ... free access to books - let me know. The PTO has a Bulldog Bucks program your student can take advantage of. I just scored a Game On! and some Barbie early readers at the public library that will be available via the Bulldog Bookstore.
