𝗥.𝗜. 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘀 & 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

CRANSTON, R.I. – The Rhode Island Board of Elections has completed one recount and two rereads and voted to formally certify the results of the 2026 primary election.

Rhode Island Republican Gubernatorial Primary Re-read: Board of Elections staff conducted a re-read of the electronic data stored on election night memory devices. No change in results. Outcome: Aaron Guckian winner.

Providence City Council Ward 9 Recount: Board of Elections staff conducted a recount of physical ballots in the Providence City Council Ward 9 primary election. Candidate Juan Pichardo gained 2 votes. Result: Juan Pichardo winner.

Providence City Council Ward 4 Re-read: Board of Elections staff conducted a re-read of the electronic data stored on election night memory devices. No change in results. Outcome: Justin Roias winner.
