were honored to promote Matthew Kuligowski to Sergeant today.

Sergeant Kuligowski is a 12-year member of the Division. He holds an associate’s degree in criminal justice from Roger Williams University. Sergeant Kuligowski is a Field Training Officer, Range Safety Officer, and a member of the Honor Guard. He has been assigned to the Garrahy Judicial Complex his entire career with the Division.

We wish him much success in his new role as Division Sergeant.

This year, Captain Reilly and Deputies Breit, Rossi, Ricci, and Wali participated in Law Day presentations at schools around the state, and our Newport County office hosted students from Thompson Middle School at the Newport County Courthouse. Discussion topics this year focused on the rule of law and the justice system.

This is a continuing effort to collaborate and support the RI Judiciary and the RI Bar Association in this worthwhile program.
