I want to begin by saying thank you to Harvey, my family, friends and everyone who took the time to vote in Wednesday’s primary! I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who placed their trust in me and gave me the opportunity to continue moving forward.
Congratulations to my fellow citywide candidates Emilia Vaziri and Steve Stycos, as well as Avery Mangahas of Ward 1 and Sara Haupt of Ward 2 on their victories.
I also want to recognize John Croke and Justin McCarthy for running a great campaign, and for the hard work they put into their races. Putting your name on a ballot and asking your neighbors for their trust takes a great deal of commitment, and everyone who stepped forward deserves our gratitude.
Most importantly, thank you to the people of Cranston who participated in this election. Whether you supported me or other candidates, I’m grateful. Public service is about listening to the entire community, finding common ground where we can, and working together on the issues that matter to the people we serve.
Now it’s on to November. Now is time to come together, move forward, and continue working for a stronger Cranston. I’m forever grateful for your trust and for the opportunity to serve.
