Today, although the Memorial Day Parade was cancelled due to the weather, members of the Cranford Police Department held a memorial service in honor of Officer Robert F. Hand who died in the line-of-duty on February 11th, 1975. Chief Nazzaro led this ceremony and was joined by PBA President Matthew Siessel, Police Department Chaplain Pastor Tom Rice, Deputy Mayor/Public Safety Commissioner Paul Gallo, and Mayor Kathleen Miller-Prunty.

We would like to send thanks to G. DeLuca and Sons for their generous donation of flowers that were planted in the CPD Memorial Garden fronting headquarters.

Lastly, thanks to the Cranford Police Auxiliary and on duty personnel for supporting the Memorial Day Service at Cranford High School.
