Be mindful of the values of our organization: respect, community, leadership, service, empowerment, diversity, and collaboration. Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. Practice civil discourse. Part of developing potential as a leader is learning how to have difficult conversations. Practicing civil discourse requires respect of other members in the group and neither diminishes their moral
worth nor questions their good judgment. Limit self-promotion. This Group is for conversations related to The Junior League only. Discussion or comment that contains only a link to your blog, product, or article on another site may be removed. Posts about job openings or needing personal advice may be removed. Refrain from raffles. Raffles are often viewed as a form of gambling and are subject to a series of requirements that vary state-by-state. We cannot allow the promotion of any raffles fundraisers, selling tickets, merchandise that benefit an individual Junior League. While we discourage posting raffles, we are willing to make an exception to this guideline if a League is eliciting individual “votes” from their followers in its quest to win an external award and/or grant. Refrain from political posts. The Junior League is a non-partisan, secular organization, so posts that promote a specific political party or candidate are not appropriate for our online forums. Any post that promotes a specific political party or candidate will be removed. Refrain from nonsecular posts. The Junior League is a non-partisan, secular organization, so posts regarding religion are not appropriate for our online forums. Any post that promotes a specific religion will be removed. No profanity/generalizations. Comments that contain profanity are held for moderator review and may be removed. Profanity used to insult, antagonize or inflame will always be removed. Comments or posts containing generalizations about entire groups of people will also be removed. Keep on topic. Be sure your topic matches the general theme of the Group.
