The Tax Office/DMV will be closing at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, April 3 for a maintenance issue. We will be open again on Wednesday morning at 8:00 AM. Sorry for the inconvenience that it may cause you.

Update: Hi everyone. I just wanted to make sure that if you want to vote for the candidates in the local Crane election, you will need to specifically vote in the Republican election. There are no local candidates running under the Democratic ticket. Early voting starts today and runs through March 2. You can vote at the clerk's office for early voting on M,W,TH&F from 8-4:30 and Tuesday from 8am - 8pm. They will be open during the lunch hour also. Come cast your vote!

Hi Everyone. We wanted to let you know that the Tax/DMV office will be closing Monday,July 31st at 11 and will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug 1 & 2. We will be going to voter registration training. We will reopen on Thursday, the 3rd. We will be open from 8-5 through lunch on both Thursday and Friday. We are sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause you. If your registration will expire at the end of July, please come in this week to get it renewed.

We wanted to remind everyone - Early voting for the school board election continues today and tomorrow at the school business office from 8:30-12 and 1-4:30. The regular election will be held on Saturday at the Crane Fire Station from 7 AM - 7 PM. There are candidates running for Ward 1 and 2. The school ward precincts are different from the county elections. I have attached a map showing the school precincts. Check which precinct you are living in. Exercise your voice by getting out to voting.

Hi Everyone,
We want to remind everyone that early voting will start Monday, October 24. You will be able to vote in the Clerk's Office at the Crane County Courthouse from 8 AM - 4:30 PM each weekday through November 4. They will be open through the lunch hour. On Tuesday, the 25th and 1st, they will have extended hours from 8 AM - 8 PM. On November 8, polling location will be open from 7AM - 7PM. The polling locations will be as follows:
Precinct 1 - Mt View community building
Precinct 2 - Exhibition building
Precinct 3 - Northside community building
Precinct 4 - Dorothea community building

Today Rosemary Cavazos went to the Middle School GT class. She discussed topics dealing with voter registration and the election process coming up. Everyone had a great time and hopefully, learned a great deal. These students are taught by Mrs. Ann Bates and Mrs Laurie Harrelson.
