I, Tyler Esparza, am announcing my candidacy for Crane ISD School Board. I am a 2008 graduate of Crane High School. I am married and have two children. My first born attends Crane Elementary and my second child is currently attending the Crane Head Start program. I have been heavily involved with the youth recreation in Crane for over 10 years and have volunteered my time to coach and mentor young people at every age in multiple sports during this time. The students at Crane ISD are my top priority and I will strive to ensure that they are provided everything they need to succeed, whether that be in academics or athletics. In collaboration with the current board, teachers, and administration, I will work hard to make sure every child is given the opportunity to succeed. I want EVERY student, administrator, teacher, and coach to feel supported by their school board members and all activities and organizations should be recognized and supported. The School Board has a responsibility to ensure that the district is facilitated properly. Crane community members want accountability, and it’s important for our leaders to be transparent and provide clarity to the stakeholders. There is a pressing need for fresh perspectives on the board to bring innovative ideas and diverse insights that can contribute to the continuous improvement and growth of Crane ISD. If elected, I would provide a stable influence on the board. I will work to ensure that decisions are made in the best interest of Crane ISD and its top priority, the STUDENTS, as well as continue to encourage more parent participation in decisions of governance. I would be delighted to receive your support.
