Wonderful weekend training with our partners across the lake. We had plenty of folks working through a training scenario that had people thinking and using all available resources and work together with a resolution. We are thankful for our partners who spent the day with us. And special thanks to the owners of the location who fed us supported us throughout the day!!!! We appreciate you.

Thank a firefighter! We appreciate all of our members and the ones across the county!!!

Across the world, on May 4, we stand united by a profound sense of remembrance and respect.

International Firefighters’ Day is more than a date.
It is a shared global moment — a moment to pause.

To remember and honour the lives of those who have passed.
To commemorate the courage and commitment of those who serve today.
To educate and inspire those who will serve in the future.

This day provides us with space to reflect on courage, on service freely given without expectation, and on lives lost while protecting others.

A life lived in service of others is never forgotten.

The legacy of those we honour does not fade with time. It lives on in the values they embodied and in the communities they protected.

Wherever May 4 finds you today, we thank you.

In accordance with the Presidential proclamation and Public Law 107-51, Governor Kay Ivey has issued a flag-lowering directive for Sunday, May 3, 2026, to honor America’s fallen firefighters.

Since 1901, over 300 Alabama firefighters have lost their lives related to their service. This Sunday, May 3, 2026, we join the nation in pausing to reflect upon the many sacrifices of our firefighters and pray for them and their families.

Flags on the grounds of the State Capitol Complex in Montgomery and throughout the state of Alabama may be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Sunday, May 3, 2026, in observance of the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service.

Governor Ivey’s flag lowering directive can read here: https://governor.alabama.gov/newsroom/2026/05/flags-lowered-in-observance-of-national-fallen-firefighters-memorial-service/
