🚨 September is Emergency Preparedness Month! 🚨

Now is the time to prepare for all disasters before they strike.
💠 First, assess your needs. If you are older or disabled, know who will be there to assist you. If you have children or infants, ensure you have everything they need. Don't forget about pets!
💠 Next, make a plan. Discuss your plan for emergencies. Include a plan for a fire, flood, tornado, and blizzard.
💠 Last, practice your plan with your family/household.

Take time this month to prepare and be ready BEFORE a disaster or emergency happens.

There are 5 steps to making an emergency plan.📓

1️⃣ Know your risks. Learn what emergencies can happen in your area.
2️⃣ Make a meeting place. Choose a safe location where your family can meet.
3️⃣ Choose an emergency contact. Pick someone everyone can call if you are separated.
4️⃣ Plan how to leave. Know the safest way to leave your home or area.
5️⃣ Practice the plan. Practice your plan so everyone knows what to do.

🏠 Home Emergency Kit: Supplies to help you stay safe at home during an emergency.
🎒 Go Bag: Essential items to take with you if you need to leave quickly.
🚗 Vehicle Emergency Kit: Supplies to keep you safe if you are stranded or have an emergency on the road.
