It is a BEAUTIFUL fall day outside. šššGreat day to clean your yard or enjoy the outdoors. Please keep in mind we are at āHighā Fire Danger and we are under a burning ban.
You can apply for a burning permit and check daily burning restrictions and fire danger at: https://apps.dnr.wi.gov/wisburn/ #/FireDanger
For those in the City of Crandon, Burning Permits are not required as the city is not a WI DNR Fire managed area however you are encouraged to look at the current Fire Danger and Burning Restrictions for Forest County. Burning should be after 6pm and and avoided on holidays, Sundays, or while the WI DNR has a burn ban in effect for Forest County. We ask that you follow any restrictions put in place by the DNR for the areas around the city.
We try to do updates during high fire danger times through social media however due to full time jobs and other life commitments, we canāt guarantee that we can keep up to date with what the DNR website has posted. Ultimately the use of your burning permit is your responsibility to follow the rules and regulations associated with it.
