First couple weeks of school and a few snapshots!

We are having a chili cookoff and baked potato bar on Monday, September 14th (entires due by 5:45 PM) in the Highland Gym Lobby as part of Homecoming Week class vs class volleyball.
Bring your entries or come buy a bowl.
Our Food Science class students each made a chili to enter - learning how to follow a recipe, brown ground beef, among others skills.

Our bi-annual chili contest will be happening again as part of our Homecoming festivities.
Monday, Sept 14th as part of class vs. class volleyball.
Monica Smith was our winner for both categories last time.
Can someone else take top honors?
We also are looking for judges.

Food Science got to cook for the first time today. Meal Kits from EveryPlate turned out to be a great first kitchen experience.

Delaynee Osburn will officially be receiving her American FFA Degree at the 2026 National FFA Convention. She will be the 8th member of our chapter to ever earn this honor. Less than 1% of all FFA members recieve this honor, based on their SAE earnings, community service, and FFA participation. Congratulations Delaynee! We will be cheering you on as you walk across the stage (only our 2nd member cross the stage at Nationals for this award) in October. We are also super proud of her for graduating LCSC in May and continuing her education.

This year we are offering a small engines class and a few more small engines would be extremely helpful for our students to each have their own.

Contact Nebeker if you have a broken down mower you’d be able to donate. Her number is 208-791-6668.

Due to all the support of our community we hope to be able to pay it forward with these once they are finished.
