🚨 RED FLAG WARNING – MOFFAT COUNTY 🚨

The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a Red Flag Warning for Moffat County from Friday, May 8 at 10:55 AM through Saturday, May 9 at 8:00 PM due to critical fire weather conditions, including strong winds, low humidity, and dry fuels.

Please avoid:
• Outdoor burning
• Activities that create sparks
• Parking vehicles on dry grass
• Unattended campfires or burn barrels

Even a small spark can quickly turn into a fast-moving wildfire under these conditions. We ask everyone to use extreme caution and help protect our communities, ranches, and public lands.

Stay weather aware and report any signs of smoke or fire immediately by calling 911.
