🏀WE NEED YOU - BASKETBALL COACHES WANTED!🏀
Our 3rd-6th grade youth basketball season is just around the corner, and we are looking for enthusiastic volunteer coaches to help make this season possible for our local kids!

No prior coaching experience? No problem! You do not need to be a basketball expert. You just need enthusiasm, patience, and a desire to help young athletes learn teamwork, build confidence, and have fun. We will provide equipment, practice plans, and game schedules to help you succeed!

FYI - Craig City Hall and City offices, including Craig Parks & Recreation, will be closed on Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day.

In observance of Labor Day, City Hall and City Offices, will be closed on Monday, September 7th.

The City of Craig Solid Waste Department will not provide residential trash service on Monday, September 7th, 2026. In order to accommodate our customers during the Labor Day holiday week, trash service will be as follows:
Monday, September 7th and Tuesday, September 8th trash will be picked up on TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8th.
Wednesday, September 9th through the rest of the week, trash will be picked up on the regularly scheduled day.
If you have any questions or concerns, please call City Hall at 970-826-2005.

☀️What a summer we’ve had at the Craig Swimming Complex!💦

Thank you to everyone who came out, splashed around, and helped make this summer so much fun. The Craig Swimming Complex is officially closed for the season. Crews are currently working to winterize the facility to get everything ready for next year. We can't wait to see you back in the water next summer!

A special thank you to our end-of-season lap swimmers and water aerobics participants who collectively contributed $587 towards our youth scholarship fund!!! Your support ensures all area youth have access to Craig Parks & Rec programs and activities.🙌

We know that program costs can sometimes be a hurdle, and we don't want any local kid to miss out on the fun. That is why Craig Parks & Recreation is proud to offer scholarships for our youth sports programs and activities!

Financial assistance is available for eligible families.

🔲WHO IS ELIGIBLE: Local youth whose parent/guardian holds a Colorado Quest card or Colorado EBT card. Each eligible child can apply scholarship funds towards 2 youth sports programs/activities per calendar year.
🔲WHAT'S COVERED: Scholarships reduce registration fees to just $15 for each eligible youth activity/program.
🔲HOW TO APPLY: Must register in-person with proof of Colorado Quest card or Colorado EBT card.
