Boy Scout Troop 148 Scout Troop 148 has been an integral part of the community for over a century.

Scouts learn outdoorsmanship, personal responsibility, life skills, leadership, and more. We meet on Mondays, from 7 to 8:30 PM, at the Church of the Nativity at 33 Alice St. BSA Troop 148 meets every Monday at 7:00 PM at the Church of the Nativity in Crafton, PA and currently counts 23 area boys among its ranks from Scout to Eagle. The boys are supported by active, involved parents and adult lead

ers who create a safe, fun atmosphere for boys to develop strong character and leadership skills while experiencing adventures during the troop’s monthly outings.

Scouts in Troop 148 went out tonight to hang door-hangers for the Scouting for Food food drive!

If you live in Crafton, east of the Bus Way, you can place a bag of Food on your front porch the morning of Saturday the 22nd, and the Scouts will come by and pick it up between 10 AM and Noon. If you live west west of the Bus Way or in surrounding communities you can drop off food at the First Baptist Church at 1 Oregon Ave. with Bsa Crafton Pa Troop 147.

Donated food will go to the Crafon-Ingram Food Bank!

Dreaming of the 2026 National Jamboree but concerned about the cost? The National Scholarship Program is here to help!

The National Scholarship Program for the 2026 National Jamboree is designed specifically for Scouts who dream of joining this life-changing experience but may need financial support to make it happen.

🔍 What You Need to Know:
• Scholarships cover a portion of the national registration fee.
• Additional council fees (travel, gear, etc.) are not included.
• Full scholarships are rare; most awards cover less than half the national fee.
• Staff members are not eligible, but those aged 16–29 receive a reduced staff fee.

🗓️ Deadlines:
• Round 1: Apply by July 31, 2025 (notifications in early Fall)
• Round 2: Apply by November 30, 2025 (notifications by mid-Winter)

📝 How to Apply:
1. Visit the official Jamboree site: Jamboree.Scouting.org/participants
2. Complete the online scholarship application.
3. Submit by the appropriate deadline.

Troop 148 will be selling drinks during the Fireworks in Crafton Park on Friday. Water $1 and pop and Gatorade $2. Does anyone know any bar or restaurant that would want to donate ice to the scouts? We need to keep our drinks cold.
