Established in 1961, Georgia Piedmont Technical College (GPTC) is a student-centered institution that prepares individuals with the skills necessary to succeed in a rapidly changing economy. Administered by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA), the accreditation program requires agencies to comply with standards in the following basic areas: credentialing; organization; direction and authority; human resources; recruitment, selection, employment, and promotion; instructional systems; training administration; instructors; and students.
