Graham is Slidell Junior High's 2025-2026 Student of the Year! Graham is a member of the ROAR Council where he performs school leadership responsibilities, and is an avid lover of band and music. He is also in the drama club, concert band, talented theater, and even does south operating and technology for theater productions! Graham aspires to become either a school band director or a merchant mariner.

Xavier Paul has been playing baseball since he was five years old and dreams of one day playing professionally. He appreciates the support, friendships, and strong sense of community at Slidell High. Outside of school, Xavier enjoys spending time with friends, studying, working out, and putting in extra practice time for baseball.

We are extremely proud to announce that after five years of hard work and in full embrace of the Leader in Me program, Magnolia Trace Elementary has been named as the very first Lighthouse School in the St. Tammany Parish Public Schools district! Only seven other schools in the entire state of Louisiana have earned the recognition of being named a Lighthouse School.

Lighthouse Status is a special recognition given to schools that fully embrace and live out the 7 Habits. These vital habits cover the principles of leadership, responsibility, and personal growth each and every day and have made them a part of their entire school’s culture. By earning Lighthouse Status, Magnolia Trace’s students and staff have consistently demonstrated these habits through a number of ways such as leadership opportunities, positive relationships, and a strong school culture focused on helping every child succeed.

Sending a huge shout out and big thank you to all of the teachers, paras, staff, parents, and families who have supported the students at Magnolia Trace Elementary in their journey to becoming a Lighthouse School!
