Every family deserves a safe place to call home. Tenants with legal representation are more than twice as likely to stay housed, avoid an eviction record, and four times more likely to avoid shelters.

The Legal Services Corporation funds civil legal aid programs to make this possible. Continued support ensures that remains possible for those who need it.

Happy Law Day! ⚖️
At the Fayette County Bar Association's Annual Law Day Luncheon, we celebrated the bar’s many achievements and honored those who give back through service. We were happy to award August Johannsen (Pictured with LABG's Pro Bono Unit Manager, Bethanie Mettling) with the Pro Bono Attorney of the Year Award!
We're grateful to the bar association and to all our volunteers, partners, and donors for helping make equal access to justice a reality.

• Kentucky Legal Aid,
• Legal Aid Society,
• Legal Aid of the Bluegrass, and
• AppalReD Legal Aid.

Together, they’ve formed the Disaster Advocacy Task Force, to help survivors with non-criminal issues such as housing, family law, and securing benefits, including Individual Assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)."
